The Støtek Stotherm is a two chamber, crucible free, holding furnace, with reverberatory style modular elements above the molten bath.

The furnace is a robust welded steel construction, and layers of high efficiency thermal insulation, refractory brick and quality, high density - non wetting lining , ensure very low energy consumption and high resistance to corundum build up.  The high thermal efficiency allows the elements to run cool, reducing energy consumption, oxidation and corundum formation.

A wall mounted, thyristor (SCR) controlled, panel, with PID digital controller, ensures precise metal temperature.  An alarm indicates an open circuit or incorrectly connected thermocouple.

The Stotherm is available in sizes from 800Kg (1,764 lb) to 3,000Kg (6,615 lb), though other sizes can be designed on request.
