The Støtek Dosotherm is a state of the art dosing furnace featuring a patented aluminum pump and high efficiency holding furnace.  The advantage of the pump over conventional dosing furnaces is that only the pump is pressurized, dramatically increasing the furnace efficiency, will reducing oxidation and metal loss.  Corundum buildup is also reduced leading to increased lining life, which is typically 5 years or more.  With the low volume required the use of nitrogen or argon as the pressure medium is practical and ensures extremely clean metal is delivered.  Maintenance is simple, and the service interval is typically much longer than an equivalent ladle.
