Tower Furnace The Støtek tower furnace is an extremely efficient design, with separate melting and holding burners. The furnace shown is rated at 750Kg (1650lb) melting and 2000Kg (4400lb) holding, with a total energy consumption of around 1100 BTU/lb to 1350oF. |

The whole furnace tilts to give very accurate and controlled pouring, via a teapot spout. The spout draws metal from the bottom of the furnace, ensuring that all floating dross is left in the furnace. Degassing stones can be cast into the floor of the furnace and run on a continuous basis |
