The lid lifts and will swing completely away, giving full access to the furnace. A crucible is not installed in this furnace, and the vertical block elements can be seen. |

The Støtek block element is an extremely durable design, with life expectancy typically measured in years. In the event of a failure the elements can be changed without removing the crucible. |
